Mzbel has revealed that she is taking a little time off from music because she is getting old and needs to invest in other businesses.
She revealed on Ameyaw TV that she is doing less music now, not only because the system has changed and it is more difficult to get a hit song.
“It is difficult but it is not because of the difficulties that I am doing less music now but I am growing. So I have to do things that I can rely on in the future when I cannot do music anymore. This is why I have invested into other businesses, and building new brands.
I will mark my 15 years in music this December and I don’t have the same energy that I started music with. A lot of young ladies are coming into the industry with different styles, it isn’t like in the past and if I try too hard, I would look like an old woman trying to compete with the young ones. I cannot do the things the likes of Feli Nuna and Sista Afia are doing. They are young and juicy!”
Mzbel is currently promoting her Bela’s pub, which is opening on August 3. She was on Ameyaw TV, where she shared details on the new business and more.
