Chief Executive Officer of Irbard Security Council, Mr Irbard Ibrahim has called out Ghanaian Investigative Journalist Manasseh Azure for causing fear and panic in the country over his recent expose’ on the NPP militia training centre.
According to the security analyst, Manasseh did a shoddy job with his investigation which can prevent investors from investing in the country.
“Nobody should be under any illusion that this country belongs to them. This country is ours and for as long as we paint this country black we are costing it big time.
Who would want to paint their country black, how unpatriotic can we be? Raising false alarm and causing fear and panic should be punishable offences.
Anyone with a microphone or video camera can come out and say they have gone undercover. Is that how you go undercover, holding a whole nation to ransom? Will you be able to stand on your feet if you see a militia.
You have done a shoddy job and you need to be told. Do you know the number of people outside Ghana who may decide not to come and invest in Ghana because of this?
The only time they hear about militias are in war-zone countries. God has given us peace, we don’t cherish that peace and we are calling doom onto ourselves”, Irbard stated.
Irbard also advised Ghanaians to allay their fears and forget the recent news of the presence of militia in the country.
“I want to tell the good people of this country, forget the false alarm and don’t allow anybody to create a false alarm.
The media is supposed to be a tool for development but now it has become a tool for massive reputation of destruction. We need to project this country in a positive war”, he added.
The ace journalist, Manasseh Azure recently released an expose’ which shows a militia group associated with the governing New Patriotic Party(NPP) is being trained at an important state facility classified as a security zone.
According to the expose’ by Manasseh, the group has been meeting at the facility for close to two years.
